''Having trained and practised as an architect, it is natural that the built environment should figure large in my output of drawings, paintings and etchings. Although, my early work was almost exclusively abstract. My approach to my work is intuitive and empirical. It is topographical and therefore needs little intellectual explanation. There is, however, no formula - each work being an experiment with the medium and with the interpretation of the subject. Inevitably, some serials do occur. I am fascinated by the patterns created by buildings (mostly) and of the world around me, and through my work, hopefully, help other to see it as I do"
