St David’s Hall Foyer Galleries was proud to announce Malcolm Edwards as the winner of the Welsh Artist of the Year – People’s Favourite Artist, voted for by the public - An extremely prestigious award, fully justified by an extremely popular artist.

Malcolm, a former Architect, is a full time painter living in the lead mining region of North Wales. Many of his paintings reflect the wild and mountainous surroundings which are his inspiration. The winning Watercolour entry, entitled Veiled Heights, Llanberis, beautifully displays Malcolm’s atmospheric style.
