Born in 1918, Llangefni on the Isle of Anglesey. He studied at the Slade School of Fine Art in London. In 1968 he gained a Winston Churchill Fellowship to record the Welsh in Patagonia. He lived and worked on Anglesey and was famous for his portrayals of the Welsh landscape and the Welsh rural way of life. Sadly he died September 2006.
