"Aled Prichard Jones was born in Bangor, North Wales in 1945. He attended Friars School Bangor and Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle Penygroes, from where in 1964 he went to Bath University to study architecture.
After initially working in Aberystwyth and Hull he moved to Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire where he worked as the Council's Chief Architect and then as the Director of Development of Pembrokeshire Housing Association until retirement in 2000. He now lives in Anglesey where, using mainly soft pastels, he paints the landscapes and seascapes of North Wales"
